Maximus Shiticus Chalet was dreampt up shortly after he arrived home to Kemp Kastle, knowing how Siberian Huskies love inclement weather and needing to provide shelter when all are working during the daytime hours.
Construction commenced on August 7, 2020 in the garage with rough framing.
August 8 brought enclosure to the building.
The roof was raised on the next day, with shingling completed on August 10th.
The Chalet was relocated to it’s rightful place on August 11th.
Maximus made himself at home, sleeping in the unsided structure Wednesday morning, August 12th.
Railings on the porch were added with the siding, facia, and soffits, as well as a buffet table for food bowl and water. Solar-powered lighting under the porch roof makes for fine evening dining and relaxation.
UPDATE: May 8, 2021 – Add addition and name change is in order as Theoren Faticus is welcomed into the family. Construction to convert into a townhouse style Chalet is scheduled for fall, 2021.
Construction started on the second unit of the Chalet on August 30, 2021.
On November 12 on the first snow flurry laden day of the year, the second unit was officially moved to it’s permanent domain.
The Assholes took to the new unit right away, inspecting and moving in. The battle for units has begun.
